FAQ
How do I know if I need 1:1 therapy or an intensive?
When we meet for our 30 minute consultation (which is free) you’ll be able to share your story with me, and I’ll ask plenty of follow up questions. The right program is determined based on your level of insight, comfortability with therapy and groups, and what is psychologically safest for you.
What is the fee for each type of therapy?
Individual therapy is $150 per session and I do accept some insurances (Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, Regence and Cigna). Intensives are held on weekend days and pack several weeks of work into just a few hours. They are intensive for you, and also for me. A very focused, information packed 3 hour session intensive is $650. Intensives are not covered by insurance and are considered a self-pay service.
What exactly is an intensive session?
Is CBT the only modality you use?
No! I enjoy using a multitude of therapeutic modalities. Cognitive behavioral therapy guides my general approach, but I often work in tools from DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, Emotion Focused, and Trauma Focused CBT. I also offer Brainspotting, with is a powerful technique used to release deep emotions that feel stuck despite other types of therapy.
What if I just want to talk about where I’m at, but not sure I want to sign up for anything?
What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting is a powerful therapy based in neuroscience to help you process and release the root causes of anxiety, depression, burnout, and a wide variety of other challenges. Brainspotting allows you to access and heal unresolved trauma, and is a gentle but highly effective approach.
